We want the people to know that when you are a witness to suspicious activity to notify the police accordingly. We want to make sure the community understands that using social media to report police encounters with subjects within the community results in inaccurate information and raises anxiety for the community. We would like to see the community use the number provided on the sign or call dispatch at 217-424-1078. This allows a Blue Mound Officer to investigate. Working together and using the proper method will be a positive outcome for our community.
